In one of the posts on my blog, I described the way you can start building your personal brand, and through that, a business based on selling consultations. I wrote about the strategy of building social presence through answering questions posted in the comments. These could be comments on forums as well as in social media.

 

It’s worth keeping in the back of your head that if your knowledge will be sufficiently helpful, someone will ask you about a possibility of scheduling an individual meeting. What will you do then? If the way to meet with you will be too long or complicated, it probably won’t happen. Nowadays, people are used to simplifications. It’s good to know why it’s so. We live in a digital world. 

 

Majority of us spend at least 10h a day online. It’s not only about computers, let’s not forget about the great role of mobile devices. Creators of web tools realized a long time ago that you have to facilitate users’ lives. That’s the source of income for every web application. In the same way as Facebook made it easier for us to contact friends, Instagram- to share photos, Meetendly enables us to quickly set a meeting.

 

Having a link to the calendar where I can select a date that matches your availability, causes me to be more eager to set a meeting with you. What’s more, it’s safer to share a link to the Meetendly calendar than sharing your phone number or email address in a Facebook comment.

 

Maybe that’s not the good time and place, but I believe that the good comes back to us. That’s why I try to help everyone I can. You won’t believe it… but it works. Maybe that’s strange, but that’s how it is. In surprising moments of life, people whom I once helped, will help me today. In psychology there is even a so-called reciprocity.
